Sealed bids will be received by the Miamisburg City School District at the Treasurer’s Office, 540 E. Park Ave., Miamisburg, OH 45342, until 2 pm, local time, on Jan. 8, 2009, for a new elementary school based upon construction documents prepared by SSOE. Bids will be opened and read immediately afterwards. Submit all questions to Mr. Lance Mushung, SSOE, by fax (419-255-6101) or e-mail (lmushung@ssoe.com).
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 3:00 PM on Dec. 18, 2008 at the Miamisburg Board of Education Room, (Neff Elementary) 29 South Sixth Street, Miamisburg, OH 45342.
Contract Documents may be obtained from Cannell Graphics, 200 Jefferson Street, Dayton OH 45402 Attn: Mr. Rob Glynn production@cannelldayton.biz (Tel: 937-660-8692), for $250.00 per set, non-refundable (shipping charges are separate). Plans may be viewed online at www.cannellplanroom.com
The Contract Documents may be reviewed without charge during business hours at F.W. Dodge Plan Rooms in Dayton, Builders Exchange in Dayton and MCBAP in Dayton.
All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier’s check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders.
No Bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of a bidder.

Miamisburg City Schools will construct a new elementary school to house up to 550 students, grades K-5, on the former Bell property at the corner of Wood Road and Crains Run Road, behind the new Maddux-Lang Primary School.
Design Phase: April 2008 – January 2009

A resource committee was formed to discuss square footage areas of various curriculum spaces. The resource committee consists of faculty/staff from the following areas: Media/Library, Physical Education, Music, Art and Administration.
