TICKS AND LYME DISEASE
-Ticks wait on tips of grass and shrubs for you to come along.
-Ticks (like lice) do not fly, hop or jump, they CRAWL
-They can attach anywhere on the human body but tend to go to groin, armpit or scalp

REMOVAL
-Grasp tick as close as possible to the skin with tweezers
-Pull straight out

LYME DISEASE SYMPTOMS
-Appear at 3 to 30 days
-Fatigue
-Chill, fever
-Muscle and joint pain
-Swollen lymph nodes
-Bull's eye rash around site

TREATMENT
-2-4 weeks of antibiotics

PREVENTION
-Avoid tall grasses , especially in May, June and July
