A variety of tests are administered to our students in grades K-8, including achievement, diagnostic, kindergarten readiness, standardized and cognitive abilities as well as the Ohio Graduation Test. The results are vital to proper counseling and placement of students. For the school system, comparative data provide information regarding the effectiveness of its educational programs. Miamisburg High School juniors and seniors routinely take the ACT and SAT college admissions tests and their scores are consistently above the national and state averages. Advanced Placement tests, which are used to award college credit, are given in May each year. Miamisburg students have the opportunity to take AP tests in U.S. History, English, Literature, Calculus, Physics and Biology.
